THE IDEA
Hot spicy? Most of the products advertised as hot on the market are anything but hot. Who doesn’t know that as a chili lover?
After years of searching and testing countless salami varieties, we've started our own spices project.
WIDMANN'S ORIGINAL - the idea of salami from Habaneros was born!

THE BEGINNING
We have been experimenting with salamis since 2015. Despite many obstacles and problems that arise, we manage to pursue our salami project. Officially since 2017.
Our goal was clearly to move away from mass-produced goods that consist of artificial additives and not much spiciness. A high quality and a product on fire was needed!
At first we used Habaneros, which, like other chili varieties, are grown and dried on a property in Bietigheim-Bissingen an der Enz. In the meantime we get our habaneros from the Hautzinger organic farm. There the Habanero chilies are grown in a unique organic quality: AT-BIO-501 certification.
A special process enables us to use the whole range of flavor notes of the salami and the spiciness later, so that the fruity and exotic sharpness becomes an absolute highlight.

Manufactured near Ludwigsburg under strict quality and hygiene standards (Haccp). Our meat products are carefully checked by our experts at the "Häfele" butcher's shop in Winnenden and produced using high-quality processes.
